Guidelines and application forms for the 2012-2013 Continuing Faculty competition are now available. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, April 25, 2012.

The Research Enhancement Program (REP) provides support for faculty research projects or creative activities.  The primary purpose of the REP is to provide seed money so that faculty members will be able to compete more successfully for larger grants from external sources for continuation of their research projects or creative activities. Two competitions are held each year, one for continuing faculty and one for new investigators.

In order to be eligible for an award from this program the applicant must be a full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty member at Texas Woman's University with instructional responsibilities in the classroom during the year of the award. Awards are limited to $8,000 and all grants end August 31 of the fiscal year. All full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty who have submitted not more than two previous REP applications at Texas Woman's University are eligible to submit a proposal to the New Investigator (fall cycle) Research Enhancement Program. All full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty are eligible to submit to the Continuing Faculty competition (spring cycle).

The Research Support Committee looks favorably on proposals that are meritorious in the particular discipline; will enhance the applicant’s record of scholarship and research; will provide financial support and research experience for graduate students; and will furnish preliminary data for a project with good prospects for continuation through outside funding.
